Re: 159/Brera 2.4 Fuel Consumption
Just a note on mpg for the Brera.
Iíve reported this elsewhere too but basically a few weeks ago I checked and adjusted my tyre pressures at a supermarket petrol station.
I then noticed my mpg drop off by about 2 or 3 mpg (I keep an eye on my mpg at every fill up). A loss of 10% of my mpg.
Coincidentally I then read an article that warned that garage/supermarket forecourt air machines should not be trusted and can be way out, so I bought a gauge and found out that each tyre was down by 0.4 bar (minimum 15% out).
Since putting the tyres back to the right pressures Iíve regained that 2 or 3 mpg, so the moral of the story is that incorrect tyre pressure can have significant effect on the mpg of the Brera (as it can on any car).
If it appreciates, buy it. If it depreciates, lease it.
