To cut a long story short the car went for new shoes (Pirelli P Zero Neros) yesterday afternoon and they found a big pool of grease on the inner rim of the offisde front alloy.
The offside CV boot has a hole in it, the grease has leaked out leaving sod all left inside and a nice spatter all over the wheel arch and alloy. It's obviously not new and happened a few weeks ago, so why wasn't it picked up at the service
Spoke to Mangos (where the car had been serviced last Friday!
) and they advised that I didn't drive it and get it recovered back to them. Great - considering I've got to go to Newcastle today, then on to the Lakes this evening and down to Manc Airport for a 7am flight to Milan on Monday for business.
The AA man is coming in 30 mins to tow my 159 back to Mangos and I'm going to use the Merc E Class for my travels.
I'll pick my 159 up from Mangos next Friday when I return from Italy, so hopefully a week is long enough for them to find anymore little niggles.
My jinx gets me once again folks
Anyone else with 159/Brera/Spider had CV boot failure
