...because 210 isn't enough!!! I'll have to wait and see how quickly I get used to the 'standard' car.

The smoothness and the rev range of the petrol is worth any advantage of a diesel.

I also would like to know the difference between a remap and a P-box.

I want my 200bhp 2.4 to have more power and was planing to go with an Angel Tuning remap, as they did a great job on my 156 1.9 JTD.

I would imagine a 1.9JTS (if it existed) would have a higher top speed but be slower accelerating and slower at covering the 100 metres (by comparing 1.8 and 2.2 data)

All data from Alfa Romeo Official web-site
Is that 1.9 jtd the 8 valve or is it the jtdm 16valve cos I reckon it would make a little difference to the 1.9 diesel times>

My 1.9 jtdm pulls very, very well at the moment, esp after Angel Tuning breathed on the ecu.
Would love to get it rolling road tested, but the suggested figures are 195 bhp and 300+lb/ft torque. The power from 1800rpm is immense. Practically makes it an auto in 3rd/4th! And economy is on the up. I think all but the 3.2 or heavily tweaked 2.2 petrols would struggle to keep up..........
I am officially a convert to the dark side.
However, the mrs will be buying a petrol Brera, so best of both worlds.

Moved over to the dark side

And loving it
