First post on this forum, so hello to you all,
I am currently leasing a brera from a company here in the uk, it has already been back to the dealership a few times for minor faults . Alarms , Electricals ect..
After a few weeks of waiting I finally got the car back from the garage , on my 30 mile journey home, after not driving it for a few weeks was giving it a bit of welly, but not excessive by any means..
Then at a roundabout , I could not get it into gear , at all, the gargae then picked back up the car and took it back to the dealership.
Alfa will not start work on the car until the leasing compamy authorise it , making them liable for the bill ( if not warranty)
There has been talk of driver abuse ( myself having to pay for the work) but I find that very difficult to swallow as I was not even hammering to that degree.
I mentioned my probgs to a chap at work who seems knowledgable on cars..
He says beacuse of the amount torque on the new alfa jtdms and the fact the traction control is on permenatley until you turn it off, means there is too much power going to the front wheels , hence teh clutch burning out.
Not knowing an awful lot about how it all works does that making any sense to anybody else , or has anyone heard of it before.
Would be very grateful for your help with this..
