HBA / Hill-holder (Brera)

More break concerns all!

My Brera (2.4 JTDM) has developed a really annoying what I can only think may be break assist.

As I pull up to lights. roundabout junctions and slowy build up pressure to bring the car to a stop, what I think can only be the HBA starts to apply pressure to the point that I could take my foot off the car and let it stop itself. Once it slowy comes to a halt the breaks release and the pedal is returned.

This is really getting on my nerves as sometime you slow to then find lights change or obstruction is removed and you can accelerate - with the current manor of operation i can feel the brakes are still applied.

Can anyone let me know if the HBA is something which is somehow 'learned' by the ECU through feedback from brake use of the driver? If so is there a clear all (unlearn) or reset I can perform?

Should I just get to the dealer ASAP.

As always thanks in advance!

Re: HBA / Hill-holder (Brera)

Had my 2.4 JTDM Brera for 18 months and 16000 miles and never had that problem - definitely sounds like a fault -I'd get in touch with your dealer ASAP.
