Can anybody give me some advice on 159 1.9 jtdm ...I've taken it to dealer to have steering lock fixed under waranty, & asked them also to look at the clutch as the operation is very stiff, they say there's nothing wrong ?...but i'm not so sure, they've given me a petrol berera to borrow which has a far lighter clutch Has any body else experienced this problem with their 159 ?.........p.s 2.2 Berera what an engine !....shame about hesttation below 2k !

Re: 159 clutch.

My experience with the clutch in my Brera is that there is about an 1" of slack at the top and after 10 miles on a motorway the clutch does seem to get stiffer. I know a couple of other people have stated this as well.

Your correct the 2.2 is a great engine once you get above 2k revs, and it makes a cracking sound at about 3.5k onwards.

Re: 159 clutch.

I always find the 159 Jtd Clutch heavy, but stiff.

Re: 159 clutch.

My experience of diesels is they generally have heavier clutches then their petrol equivalents.
