Re: Spider Limited Edition Pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe any of the dealers will do a 2 year lease deal as Alfa use fiat finance for leasing terms. most companies I've dealt with will do any term from 6 months to 5 years, it does cost more for a shorter term lease as you’re eating more of the depreciation; £349 PM for a 2 yr deal on the Spider as opposed to £319 PM for the 3 yr deal. The Spider LE is a perfect lease car too as it is fully loaded from the get go. That’s the problem with short leases; if you add extras, you have to pay for them fully in the lease term so it gets real pricey, the way I do it is to have the extras fitted afterwards (like sat nav) then when the lease is up I take them back off and sell em on ebay!
I did mine through Piccadilly up in Yorkshire even though I live in Woburn. Make no odds where I lease the car from really so long as the deal is right.
That’s just the point, I’d like to think it might make 15K plus in 2yrs but if it doesn’t, who cares (well maybe Alfa will as they are underwriting it), I just give it back and get another one!! I really don’t understand why people seem to need to ‘own’ their car as it presents such a risk in cash terms. I also had a TT on lease when they first came out, they valued that at 16K when the lease was up, so I bought it and sold it privately for 17K. My point is these lease companies are often so huge that they can’t be bothered with small deals and there is often an upside to the deal, they make their money on the discounted car + agreed payment term + residual, after that they are done. in the case of my Touareg; they lost money overall I think the Alfa deal will make em money because its all internal…
God I sound Like I’m in the leasing business… I actually make computer games… so no upside for me… I do think though if more people lease, the pricing will get even keener…
