As for "its special".... is this for real? Alfa Romeo is a business, to survive it needs to be succesful and competative. Alfa just arent aiming the 159 at any niche markets, so Alfa also needs to have some amount of mainstream appeal to normal people who want a reasonably reliable and well performing vehicles, (aka the fleet market) to think its right for Alfa to be supplying 'quirky' special cars to 'real car fans' is ridiculous, grow a beard, light up yer pipe and get a Caterham or a Marcos if you want quirky wierd-to-drive wheels.
Well said. Far too much tolerance for a disgraceful approach by both ARUK and the Dealers. The confusion over Warranty (Will they/wont they honour it), the hollow promises, multiple complaints, etc. etc. just dont get resolved. My car is now almost 3 years old, done 59,000 miles and we have now issued full legal procedings to get this sorted out.
Oh, and before the Alfa Enthusiasts lambast me for not getting a remap to 'cure' it, and tell me to tolerate it, I have no intention of doing that. Instead I shall continue to go out of my way to tell all and sundry just how apalling Alfa's are, and persuade as many of my friends, colleagues and casual aquantances to steer well clear of the Marque. I think its 5 or 6 SOLID orders that I have so far persuaded not to proceed, and I shall continue my crusade until those idiots in Slough do something about it.
So ARUK, I know you read this, get off your **** and fix the problem, never mind new Engines and new Models, what about the suckers who bought the old ones !!
The fact yoou STILL have Brera S and Spider LE models unsold, when limited runs of only a few hundred were made over a year ago, should tell you what the motoring public actually think of your cars !
Rant over ...
