From the stealer
or the usual pedantic, saddo, know-it-all/know-****-all muppets that frequent this place
My guess is that Simon meant the pedantic, saddo, know-it-all/know-****-all muppets that DON’T frequent this place.
The ‘ah, an Alfa eh (nudge-nudge, wink-wink). Having problems with it?’ brigade.
Came across one of those the other day.
He pulled up to me in a car park and wound the window down on his nine year old Honda Accord.
‘Excuse me mate. Sorry to bother you. How do you like your Brera?’
‘Love it. Absolutely brilliant car etc. etc’.
‘Would you recommend one?’
‘Absolutely. No hesitation etc. etc.’.
‘What’s the reliability like?’.
(Oh here we go) ‘Great. No problems in two years and two examples. Alfas are no worse than anything else out there these days’.
‘How many miles do you do?’.
(Oh here we definitely go) ‘Not that many. 15k a year maximum’.
‘Ah, I do a lot of miles you see. I would need something that I could rely on’.
‘GET A DOG THEN YOU F*CKWIT’.
I didn’t actually say that but ended the conversation at that point in a polite manner. He was bigger than me.
