Re: Alfa Brera 2,4JTDM
Yep, another confident vote for the Brera. I've had mine for a year, & so far, yes I've had the rocking drivers seat syndrome, & the very occasional alarm going off. Both issues have been dealt with under warranty, & with no fuss at all.
Er no. Nothing. Nada.
Be sure that you can get comfy in the car. Anything over about 6'1" or 2", & the roof feels low. There is little rear leg room, & the fuel economy ain't great.
If you aware & happy with all those points, then there are NO other recurring issues I know of.
A mate of mine has a same age Audi A3 that has had more niggles. Mind you, the Audi dealer he uses are superb, & that for me is the only area where something like Audi still better Alfa. But build quality, solidity, interior finish, etc I think Alfa is now up with the German marques.
I asked the same question a year or so ago. Previously, I had driven Porsches.People find it very difficult to get over the same old cliches. They may have been true of older generation Alfas, but the latest ones are well sorted. Remember that all the surveys you see in car mags are based on 3 year old (or so) cars, & so don't yet reflect the latest models.
Go for it. I haven't regretted it for a nano-second, & would eventually love to be a 2 Alfa family. A Brera & a 159 sw would be lovely.
