Saw the new A4 today at my local Audi dealer. Very impressed with the interior - nicer looking than the 159 interior IMO.
Overall spec is very good for the SE. I believe it's better than the 159 spec for what you are getting.
mojo_jojo, have you actually felt the electric window buttons? These feel ABSOLUTELY CRAP AND CHEAP! They are the same buttons as in the A6 (or they look like them) and when you operate them they go " CLICK-CLACK-CLICK-CLACK-CLICK-CLACK". They sound absolutely cheap. Try them and you'll definitely know what I mean. Try out the buttons in the 159 or even in a VW Golf and you know and feel what quality is.
The new Audi A4 has really put a step back in quality compared to the previous model (just like the Golf V compared to the Golf IV).
Also if I'm correct the "alu"-look dashstripings in the Audi aren't real aluminium like the 159 for instance (Distinctive or Lusso trim). If you have a premium car, you want premium materials.....NOT PLASTIC!
It's not only me that things the new Audi A4 has taken a step back in quality compared to the previous model. The dutch carmagazine Autovisie (which is regarded as the best carmagazine from the netherlands) agrees with me as well
And further more, the new A4 has more hard plastics in the interior than the previous model. This really doesn't bring the premium feel that you pay for with Audi to my opinion.
Back on topic:
By the way, my account manager has a 320d and I'm not even starting about all the problems he has got with his car (fuel leaks, flat tires (3 times!), steering wheel vibrates like madness and I could keep going on and on and on).
By the way, the 45 kilo weight reduction with the 159 model year 2008 is only applicable for the 159 3.2 V6 Front wheel drive, right?
