Re: My Alfa 159 Jinx Continues..... :cry:
Sorry to hear that you are at the start of the same problems I have been experiencing since August 2007. My 159 2.4 JTDM has been more off the road than on it since then. 6 times between Aug and today it has gone into "limp home" mode. It has been diagnosed as swirl chambers (twice), catalytic converter, ECU has been re-programmed and I have just got it back from Fish Bros, Swindon 10 days ago after 2 weeks of extensive works (over £2K on warranty) including new water pump, 5 injectors, timing belt, new inlet manifod and reprogrammed ECU;
And it has still let me down on a 100 mile run.
I am at the end of my patience, but not sure what to do next. I will have to ask Fish Bros to come and take it away again - lending me their 159 2.2.
The car is 18 months old now, so little chance of getting my money back.
Sincerely hope your probs are not so severe Hunter.
