Do all the head units in the 159s feature the cd changer input.
I'm thinking of getting one of those Yatour MP3 units that plugs into the cd changer port and wondered if it was standard across the range ?
Mine is 2007 model without MP3 playback.
Yes they all have the Blaupunkt CD interface
although the initial MP3(CD) HUs do have
differences and were not initially compatible
with the Blaupunkt changers.
I too have a 2007 with BlauP HU with 10 stk in the back and single in the front. There is also an AUX setting but no mention of what this is for or how to access the plug in for an AUX input - I'd like to keep the system.
Hi there
I think if you do a search on aux lead on here you'll find there's a lead you can buy plugs in the back if the stereo yo one of the square blocks and the other end has 3.5mm stereo jack in if yo plug into an iPod phone etc.
I bought one of those 3.5mm jack cables but ultimately just reused the 30pin iPod connector I had in my GT.
You do have to remove an existing connector and swap over one or two wires into the connector supplied with the 3.5mm jack from what I recall.
I did not have to do any of that with the iPod connector.
as far as I know not all radios allow to run Aux (which I think should become available if one holds longer CD or Source button if I remember correctly).
In terms of CD changer emulators like Yatour (i had Xcarlink), I think they work with every unit (as far as I read on Polish forum). In my former 159 JTDM built Dec 2005 (just radio+CD, no MP3) it was working OK (reasonably, sometimes was freezing radio at start and radio needed powercycle, on 2nd time it was always OK) .
