Lucky Q the 2.4 throws a tantrum

I have just had the joy of meeting a very very nice man from the AA. I didn't want to but it seems Lucky Q had different ideas.
Start up from work to drive home a brief flash of the engine light no beep (could have been my imagination I thought)
Off I blip into the lovely Friday afternoon traffic, a mile or so of stop start bumper to bumper and I am really starting to get the point of these automatics. Ah clear road to the roundabout foot down and there we have it all the power of a Suffolk Colt lawnmower trying to pull the Ark Royal !
Luckily just next to a holiday inn, limp into their car park, park up and do a few restarts and try moving around nada no power sounds fine but no go.

Call those lovely people in the big yellow vans, an hour later and there he is, me either a face like an eight day clock ( my mum used to say that I have no idea) and home cheerful and chipper.

Fancy schmancy engine code reader on and a fistful off codes.
Status :p0504 - Brake pedal switch. Error Message : Signal compare faulty. error sporadic.

Status :p0111 - IAT sensor. Error Message : open circuit/short circuit. error sporadic. Status :p0101 - Air- mass sensor. Error Message : open circuit/short circuit. error sporadic.

Status :p0403 - Exhaust-gas recirculation solenoid valve. Error Message : open circuit. error sporadic.

Minutes later we test the brake lights, working fine but the switch is a bit close on the peddle. Adjust that clear the codes and bingo Lucky Q pulls like an angry train again.

Chatting yo home about it the theory seems to be that when you brake the ecu cuts the fueling to minimum. So you can screw that throttle to the floor but if your brake light switch says the brakes are on bugger all happens and the engine lights come.

The joys of modern efficient engines !

Sure you guys knew all this already but thought I would pop on here in case.

Are the other bountiful codes anything to worry about ? Or should I blithely continue burning diesel like a lunatic and just enjoying Lucky.?

Any advice for a newbie welcomed.

Cheers Dave
