Wishbones - Meyle or Birth?

Need new upper bones. Meyle, Birth or other?
Thoughts, experiences appreciated.
Cheers

This might be a silly question but what do you mean? Are these different suppliers?

Where can you get original birth ones from? I like their stuff. I fitted mayle ones and after 18 - month the ns lower ball-joint developed slight play 7k later and l have snatching from the steering coming from the left side and sometimes with a knock now & then from lock to lock. I've seen TWR (oem last 50k or so) for 160 with delivery

According to the launch information Magneti Marelli supply the suspension components. TRW are the main alternatives in this market so are good quality. Birth and Meyle supply several manufacturers with Original Equipment.

I had this topic years back with Marelli making the wishbones (l understand they made the rear lights for the Brera) but was told they make parts for Maserati instead. My Brera is 07 but built July 06 it had TWR wishbones on before the replacement of Mayle's back in 2013

TRWs

I've personally found Meyle and Birth to be inferior on other cars

If you look at something rare like the rear trailing arms you can see the origin is clearly Magneti Marelli

Originals I removed from my 159 were TRW & were stamped with the alfa logo-however this may have changed in later years.
I fitted some Meyle HD (heavier duty ball joint than the standard meyle or TRW)
On my originals the bushes were still fine & it was the ball joints that had both failed-bought from ALL GERMAN PARTS in leeds great price around 65 each & have a 4 year warranty.

Member car:

Brera 2.4

Whichever brand you go for its worth popping the ball joint boot off and checking it has plenty of grease in there.
I changed an upper on my car and it started knocking after about 18 months, when I replaced it i took the boot off and it was virtually dry of grease so checked the new one and that had very little grease in it either, I think the first one was a Febi and the second one was Meyle.

That's all good advise thanks. Went TRW in the end which on balance seem to be a good product. Found some on offer for 57 which I think is quite competitive.
