Brera weird central locking

Hi guys! I have problem with central locking in my 56 plate Brera. Sometimes I'm trying to unlock car and nothing happening, I have to open it manually with key and then then can turn off alarm m with remote as normal. Never had problem with locking, so battery should be fine... Any ideas whats wrong with my car again? Thanks

why would not previous issues preclude an issue with the battery (either the car battery or the one in the remote?)

I've always had to press the boot open button loads of times to actually get it to open, right from day 1 six years ago.
Put it down to being an Alfa quirk.

Boorek, you have a faulty unlock button in your fob. Lussoman has the same problem with the boot unlock button.

It is easy to replace the switch if you are handy with a soldering iron. See post 3 here...

Sorry this is not helping with the original question but I get this as well, boot opens first time every time if i push the button from inside the car but its a different story from the outside.
Not key fob battery or switch unless both of my keys are faulty.
More an inconvenience than a problem.

Yes, come to think of it mine's exactly the same - pressing the boot release on the key fob whilst still in the driver's chair it always works first time every time.
So yes, definitely not a fob issue.
Bloody weird.

No problem getting into the cabin.
Just the boot when out of the car - usually takes at least 3 pushes of the fob button, sometimes more.
Lived with it for 6 years so no biggie for me.
