Alfa 159 1.9 jtdm possible exhaust leak

Okay so another lovely problem with the alfa. Drove down to the Isle of white yesterday but about halfway there, the engine warning light came on and it went into limp mode. Pulled over and plugged the obd reader in. It was boost pressure sensor A circuit low in the turbo / super charger. I had cleaned the turbo a couple of weeks ago as this used to come on all the time. Cleared the fault and carried on. The engine felt very rough between idle and 1300 rpm (ie the engine would judder and vibrate through the car), and about 2 minutes later, on the motorway, soot started comming out of the exhaust for about 30 seconds under light acceleration
No more smoke or warning lights for the rest of the journey, but the engine is still misbehaving at low rpm. I got the Mrs to hold a towel over the exhaust when we arrived and I can hear a hissing from the manifold area. The cab does smell a bit fumey when the vents aren't recirculating. Does this sound typical of an exhaust leak? Or is it something more Terminal?

Okay so the catalytic converter had come away slightly from the turbo, that's probably down to me not tightening or lining It back up properly when refitting it! But the low rpm engine judder still remains, I've cleaned both map and maf sensors, cleaned the turbo boost valve filter bit, checked both lines from that for leaks (the out line seems to make a bubbling noise when blown into?) I've also cleaned all the injector connections, does anyone have any ideas? Desperate for help now

Okay another update for anyone with a similar problem. Took the alfa back to planet gearbox as I could only assume that the newly fitted DMF was faulty. They very kindly checked it over and plugged it in to their very expensive obd reader. Injector 2 is stuck wide open (+5) which is knocking injectors 1 + 2 down (both at -2.8) whilst injector 4 is at +0.3, making the whole engine rough as f*** and explains the bad fuel consumption.

So I'm going to order some injector seals and see if I can unstick number 2 and clean all of them whilst I'm at it.
