Trick to close Spider roof
I've had an issue for a while with closing my Spider's roof - it gets stuck on the part where it needs to lift up the back window - it just sits there with a motor running, but doesn't do anything - manual assistance is eventually required to help it along.
Recently I had an idea of stopping the car on a forward incline - like a ramp you would get in a parking garage - problem solved. Now the roof closes no problem and the whole process seems more efficient.
Not sure why this works - might be the oil level in the hydraulic system - but I'll take it.
Just thought this might work for others with roof closing issues.
