Just wanted to say thanks to Ned and the Team at Autolusso for their assistance today
I had a very annoying front end knock on my 159 Sportwagon on uneven roads and the car became unbearable to drive around town. I have been attempting to resolve this myself for the past year (when funds permitted). I carried out the following work,
Upper arms, still knocking
New Bump Stops as I noticed they were broken, still knocking
New droplinks, still knocking (and kindly pointed out by Ned that I had put them upside down
, thanks Ned
Powerflexed lower arms, still knocking
powerflexed Anti Roll Bar bushes, still knocking
Replaced shocks with Bilstein B4's, still knocking
springs to mind.
Booked it in for Saturday Morning Surgery at Autolusso and made the trip from Brighton just for Ned to say and I quote "are they First Line
Special Upper Arms?" as he punched the front wheel, klonk klonk. Put it this way, I had a lovely quiet drive back to Brighton.
1: don't cheap out on parts. If I had paid the extra £20 per arm in the first place, it probably would have saved the above expense.
2: Put the droplinks the right way up
I found the team very welcoming, up for a laugh and felt that they had the time to discuss potential issues and offer advice. They even fitted the car in on a very busy Saturday for the new arms to be fitted. Will definitely be going back with my 159 and the wife's Abarth 500
