New MAF sensor, fresh MOT, FSH, lots of receipts from previous jobs, 106000 miles, in car entertainment center with subwoofer and satnav with new maps for whole Europe.

Cracking car, and if you only bought it when you joined, you have owned it for 6 months. Why sell?

To reasons
1) I need car big enough to sleep in
2) my wife moaning about spending too much time with car instead of with her

You won't need a big car to sleep in if you get rid of the Brera - she'll let you back into the house.
If she doesn't, get rid of her and get another Brera.

A tad overpriced with 106k You should expect less than 5,000 off that sale, unfortunately there's to many 2.4's around selling for less

Also bear in mind that this is a niche car, and the majority of people will be after a petrol in a fun sports coupe.
Just a matter of waiting for that one phone call - that's all it takes.
But get it on AT at some point for maximum coverage, that's where most potential customers will be looking.

4500 would be more realistic. There's not a big demand for Breras, at least in my experience.

I hate to say but the reason you are having trouble selling it is because I bought one. When I want a car the prices are high and there are none about, as soon as I get one, or think about selling mine there are loads for sale and the price drops, sorry.

I must have far to much time on my hands, this morning while browsing Autotrader I looked at Alfa's for sale, what surprised me, and I hark back to me previous comment, there were more Brera's for sale than GT's, amazing!

As of today 106 Alfa Gt's for sale and 93 Brera's on offer. I think something like 60% of Brera's that was ordered in the UK had diesels in so it's stacked against many in competing for a sale.

Stick it in the classifieds on this site. I sold my previous Brera that way. Doesn't cost anything either..

Seriously? That can't be right surely?
I'm sure someone will post details of howmanyleft before long. I can't be bothered this time.
When I last looked at Breras for sale on AT, two-thirds were petrol.

This wouldn't surprise me, I would say a good target market when new for the car would be my mum and dad (50-60), have money, likes the look of a nice car, but wants to run it without paying through the nose doing 10k-15k a year on the motorway. Since everyone says the 2.4 make a nice sound for a diesel, it makes sense. Not many people will buy the petrol and do 15K plus, its not financially viable, at least for most people. My dad loves my Spider, but it horrifies him about the MPG, to him the 2.4 Spider makes sense and he loves his cars - he has a replica Cobra in the garage!

Of the 2,696 Breras currently still registered, 62% are petrol, so more or less as I thought.

I don't think for a minute that Alfa would have had the 50-60 age band as their target audience.
Young (ish) professionals, yes.

all those diesel issues cost money to fix. As it is now the car 'should' be extremely reliable, but it is a lot of money to be honest
