Thumbs Up 2.4 Spider Exhaust: Wizard v Alfatune v Veloce

Hi all,

I am thinking about to upgrade the exhaust back boxes to replace the tired looking OEM ones on her currently, plus hopefully see some performance increase. (Both boxes)

I am currently looking at 3 systems; the Wizard (Auto Lusso), Alfatune and Veloce (Ascari) straight pipe systems. I don't know if anyone else had any experience or personal preference?

Wizard - £475 plus fitting
Alfatune - £695 fitting included
Veloce (Ascari) - £489 plus fitting

Alternatively I am also considering looking at a Longlife system

Any help would be appreciated.

I've a feeling that the ascari is in fact a wizard, maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I have just put down a deposit on Wizard pipes for my 2.2 JTS, Lawrence at Autolusso is sorting it for me, not sure when they will be ready as there is a waiting list.
I was down there yesterday for a service and another Spider was on the ramps with Wizard pipes and I had a good look at them, couldnt hear them unfortunately as my only concern is a possible drone inside which I dont want, Lawrence convinced me that if I didnt like them then there would be a queue of people waiting to buy them.
Definitely a better look, the sound is going to be so much nicer hopefully and it should rid the car of the hesitation problem that all 2.2s suffer.
I will keep the old back boxes and sell them on if I am happy with the Wizards.

Well the pictures on the Veloce eBay ad are exactly the same as the ones on the Wizard Facebook page. That's what's confusing me.

Yeah they do, hmmmm
Well Veloce have them in stock now while Autolusso have a waiting list.
Just checked the photos they sent me and they are the same.

When you look at the wizard system in the photos you can see the boxes.

The question now are Wizard system better than the Alfatune?

If your going to fit the Alfatune makes no sense unless you visit Gus to get the full works, dpf removal, remap, etc.

Already got all this done but not by Gus.

His also includes a straight pipe where the DPF was. My DPF has been hollowed out.

also some of us are talking different pipes here, the Spider and Brera have 4 pipes so Im sure the sound and the price are quite different to the 159s 1 or 2 pipes.

Regarding the Wizard exhaust for the 2.2 Brera, that's what I have on mine. Just the back sections. Here's a link to what they sound like.

The quality of the work is very impressive as is the sound. However, they do sound a bit droney around 3000rpm on a motorway...

For some reason the link doesn't work for me can you send it again or post the title of the video?

installed Wizards on my 2.4 (paid £295 for the pair). Well pleased with them. Nice tone, improvement over stock but by no means intrusive.

Well you got a bargain at £295, they're £475 now. That's the info I'm looking for, if its intrusive or not. Thanks.

£295 if I'm not mistaken is the price for the 159 1.9 JTDM and maybe 2.4 aswell, £475 maybe for the Breras / Spiders.
SpiderSaint likes this.

That sounds absolutely bloody awful.
That has to be worse than standard, right?

The bin truck sounds nicer when emptying the wheelie bins, less noise to
lussoman, Rewe and AlfaJoe92 like this.

It clearly states, top left, 'Alfa 159 2.4 with Wizard end pipes (no boxes)'.
So standard with a bit of trim.
