Alfa 159 2.4 Cambelt Renewal Question

Hi, I've recently bought this car with 81k miles. The car performs terrifically. I was told that the Cambelt had been changed at 70k but there is no evidence of this. Is there any way of physically confirming the Cambelt age?

Thank you

Not without service history. I'd get it done to be on the safe side.

If the previous owner had it done at a main dealer there may be a record on the system, you might be able to check that way? Other that it's not worth the risk, get it done as soon as you can.

The job is around 300 but seriously consider getting your swirl flaps removed at the same time if you intend keeping the car. Even an ingested plastic swirl flap can cause valve damage.
