newbie blue and me unpairing /re pairing issue

Evening all
Picked up my first Alfa on Monday. It's a 159, pics on my intro post.
I've had a look on the forum as I'd hoped to find an answer to my query there but no joy.
So everytime I get into the car I have to RE pair my phone. I pair it up and all works as it should do, but if I leave the car for any reason with my phone and get back in to it, I have to re pair again and already it's a pain and I've only had the car 2 days!
The phone is a HTC One .
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you cleared any previous owners data?

Two comments, firstly I had a similar issue, and discovered that my ohter phone (also paired to B&M had it's bluetooth on, they were fighting to connect).
Secondly, have you tried updating the blue and me software? Often new phones come out with new protocols etc and so the B&M may struggle to communicate with it
If you car is older than 2010 (ish), you can upgrade it to 5.6 (but have to upgrade to 5.5 first!). If newer, then you can upgrade to v 10.0, whcih will bring new features with it

check this website for the firmware and extra info:
