Badges

My new Brera has the most minging faded badges.

Can anyone recommend where to get replacement for a reasonable cost? I did see an old post on here (2011) of someone printing up UV proof decals which apparently worked quite well but the thread was dead and the pictures have all been removed

I have tried search but I'm struggling to work out how to search a specific sub page for example the Brera page

Any pointers appreciated

Have you looked on ebay?
I found a pair very cheap, I dont care if they do fade eventually, at least they dont cost the same as the terrible official Alfa parts!

May as well do wheel centres whilst you're at it:

I would have looked straight on eBay but my car has a third party one already and it looks like a cheap copy which was why I was hoping for a recommendation but if they're mostly alright I'll get some more

I don't remember the wheel centres needing relaxing but they're usually scabby and since I'm having the front of the car painted and the wheels refurbed I might as well

Those wheel centres are stick on. They'll look awful as they'll stick out from the car. Also are the stock ones gold?

AR has finally brought out their own badge-only stick-on replacement - I think to counter the cheap Chinese ones on fleabay. The cheap ones are terrible - I ordered a set and the colors are not correct.

Part number for the genuine AR ones is - 50521448 - about 13 each

Hello all.

I made up some of these for myself a couple of years ago as my front badge was quite badly damaged but what I did was make them from silver and black cast vinyl (as I have a black and silver TI). I think they look great but it's all subjective I guess.

I also added a matt black vinyl "Brera style" piece to the top, I like it anyway.

cheers,
Doogs

Just ordered the same ones as San Remo via that eBay link. Any particular tips for fitting or is it as easy as pulling one off and putting the other on?

Just pierced my old, original ones with a bradawl and levered them off. Cleaned up the back plates and just stuck the new ones on.

2009 Brera 3.2

I bought the cheaper ebay ones and in the harsh Aussie Sun the gold faded to Silver in one summer.

I hadn't heard that Alfa had started making stick ons themselves... Will have to check them out myself! Thanks for the tip.

That's the way ....Just remember that the emblem is only a millimetre thick though, so don't lever the bradawl too far in, otherwise you'll betrying to dig out the mounting frame too

When I removed mine I found that there was a depression in the plinth under the badge. At it's deepest about halfway between the centre of the badge and the 6 o'clock position. If you puncture it there you;ll get the old one off easily enough.

Here's the plinth without a badge - just remember it's downside up..

Clearly shows the depression.
