Only gold Spider in the country?

Very rare Spider, and for good reason!
It turns out to be Tamzin Outhwaite's old motor.

Yep, it could've been worse. Certainly unique.
Those wheels don't help it.

The only gold one I've ever seen was years ago, just outside Brighton, when I had the 156 V6. That was being driven 'enthusiastically' by a blonde......with that bit of info, it could well have been Tamzin too. Damn!!!

There was a small piece on her in the Spring 2011 edition of Alfa UK's own magazine 'Alfa'.
I'm sure I remember a bit more on the now defunct Cloverleaf Club website, but nothing's showing up on searches.
There is this pic of the lovely lady with the lovely car: http://www.alfavendee.com/media/01/0...934b9dc24e.jpg

Nice colour but dont like the wheels at all.
Isnt that quite cheap ? maybe they are depreciating faster now.

Not sure how long it's been for sale.
It is one of the first Spiders, with crap wheels, and in an unusual colour.
But really low mileage.
They must be really difficult to price.

There's too much body colour on the front. Aren't there supposed to be grilles in the gap between the headlamps and the scudetto ?

You're right. It's very unusual to have body colour there. Most unusual.

I have a brochure for the pre-'facelift' models and they don't have body colour in that place.
Something must've happened.

It still hasn't sold even at £6k (a dealer as well!), and with only 30k miles.
Must be the colour.

Yes like my bumper, they sprayed the entire thing, did not blank off the areas supposed to be left un-painted. Either a new bumper painted that way from factory, i.e not a standard Alfa place or a respray, although wouldn't have been done in situ to paint the whole thing one colour.

On a side note though, how come the area to the immediate left and right of the main grille i.e the area the thin bits of chrome trim, how come there is a piece of plastic painted body colour behind there? Mines see through and so far have never seen any trim piece that attaches to that area?

Somebody certainly took it for a Spider Ballet into something with the front bumper.

For sale since at least July '16 - that's when I started the thread.
Horrible wheels and not a mainstream colour.
Perhaps accident damaged as well with the resprayed front.
