Sidelights - W5WB?

O/S front sidelight went. Not bad after more than 2 years ownership.

So I noticed that the manual says W5WB. No idea what B meant, picked up Bosch W5W in Halfords.

When I went to fit, I noticed the bulbs currently fitted have blue coating. The new Bosch ones look very orang compared to what was there before.

Were blue coated W5Ws standard for the 2006 159?

get yourself some led ones from ebay. then hopefully you'll never need to bother fiddling about with sidelight replacement again.

The blue coating are probably past replacements, the coating is designed to throw out a bluer/white light, than the normal yellow white, ala HID effect

Original they are blue coated.
The B means blue

The orange coated ones are for the side indicators.
