Question Temperature Reading

Ok, so after having the oil changed this morning and the garage not resetting the oil warning I had time to have a look into why when I replaced the temperature gauge it went from a minus temperature figure to mid 40's.

I've been trying to find information on whether I need to realign the temperature setting through the computer. When searching through the canbus option I found 3 outside temperature readings (see pic)

Now the 53 degrees reading is what is shown on the dash. Does anyone know what the other 2 are for. The info box when the 53 was selected said from the NPG, the -40 said from the NQS and top temperature said NBC/ Environmental condition.

Totally confused so any advice would be grateful.
