Has my Brera been clocked?

I finally got round to messing about with FiatECUScan, and came across a parameter which reads how many kilometers are on the car (I can't remember exactly what it's called). Mine read 89,000km (about 55,000 miles by my reckoning). However, my odo reads 40,000, so 15,000 miles have gone missing. (I bought the car with 13,000 on the clock).
Am I understanding this parameter correctly, ie that it should be the same as my odo?
Is this something that prospective buyers should be using when looking at second hand cars?

Very strange. It could have had a new speedo head fitted at some time, but this should have been recalibrated. Have'nt found this feature so hard to say realy.

I've read about this before when using fiatscan. Something to do with the conversion rate IIRC, not an indication of clocking.

I've never seen them match in FES, seen some where the ECU is reading a lot less than the odometer, I wouldnt worry.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting that others have noticed a mis-match between FES and odo readings. I may try reporting this to the FES forum.

Odometer in ECU parameters shows either real value -+1000 miles this is ok... or it shows completly wrong, half or even 0 if the ECU has been touched somehow.

There is a parameter that shows how many times the ECU was written to, if original it should be 0.
Another thing to check is how many oil change resets are done.
