159 1.9JTS performance

Hi there. Just bought a 2006 159 1.9 JTS petrol with 48500 miles on it. It is in immaculate condition. However - having read the spec for the engine the car feels really flat just not quite what you would expect from this engine. I know it was a city car and possibly never had a proper run and maybe it will come into itself with time. I was just wondering if there is anything I should be looking out for. Changed from a 156 1.6 lusso which was quicker and before that a 156 1.8 twin spark which was even quicker.

It's flatter than a 1.6 TS as standard mate, sorry.

I had one for a week when my diesel was in the body shop, I also had a 1.6 156 and the 159 definitely had no get up and go.
