It's not ti.2.4jtdm.yeh,bought part at main agent as I say.£98 to fi it though.said would take an hour but would have to book it in.stupid me said to myself'i can do it'!i have to admit no I can't.the aluminium panel it sits on is attached by pop on/off studs, easy.no removing century consul or anything complicated.2 multi plugs underneath to unplug then it's off.if you've managed to remove gear knob!there is a circular chromed piece that slides down and the plastic trim pulls out of the main body of gear knob but can't find pin ther obviously goes through it holding it to shaft.once we've found out how to remove it I can say the job is easy!then the trim is removed from centre panel by undoing 4 wall screws.anyway, glad to hear mines of the only one,& looking forward to finding what caused it!
