159 Ti 1.9JTDm MAF Fitting
Been suffering from hesitant power issues, rough idle and worst mpg figures recently and with 80k on the clock though MAF issues could be to blame. Cost of replacement had put me off doing anything other than removal and cleaning (as described on other very useful threads). Got lucky and found a new Bosch one for £60.00 so I will fit this.
The question is- Do you have to disconnect the battery to fit the new MAF or is it a simple matter of disconnecting the old, whipping off the clips and re-fitting the new one? If you do disconnect are there any other vital procedures to follow for the less than perfect amateur mechanic?!
