This is the only car I have owned that I have had no urge to change the wheels, I just love them as so suit the car. However I have a set of Chrome ruff racing wheels off my last VXR that fit so maybe if we have a nice summer........ or just may sell

I'm a bit of a wheel freak since my first car I changed the rims every year just because I got bored of them...
summer wheels I used till now - they were pre-my08 first summer, then I got another set of my08 ones
summer_v1.jpg
then I got it lowered (sorry, I cant find any other pic of it right now)
summer_v1_lowered.jpg
winter wheels I had the last season. thought it would look better with black alloys but I was wrong...
winter_v1.jpg
...and I got them powder coated with some metallic silver (not the alloy silver). I have to take better pics of them when the snow will melt.
winter_v2.jpg
and the rims I'll use next summer (silver brera s ones). wanted to get 20" oz ultraleggeras but they would require spacer and 20" tires cost a fortune.

Let us know Toshy if you decide against using the Brera S alloys (if you get bored of them of course... )

Do you fancy donating some of those surplus rims?

I'm actually selling my 18" horseshoe wheels (245/40 sottozero w240 s2 tires, used ~6000km, no scratches whatsoever on them) cause I want to keep the 19" TIs for next winter (that if I'll still have the 159 then), but as you can see... I live far, far away and the transport to UK (not even thinking of Australia, Kalel ) costs a lot...

Nobody likes my alloys - except me! I have a set of standard 17 inch diamond flats and several sets of these (really cheap on eBay with tyres) >>>>>>

Hi FrankieNorway - these 18's are a current option on new cars , or available from AR dealers for about £750.

you know that because you get a lot of snow in Shropshire, is it?
actually spoked rims are better winter rims than "weird" designs than the classic alfa hole/horseshoe because snow doesn't get stuck between spokes as easily as it gets in the "horseshoes"... and trust me, frozen snow inside wheels is really nasty and it makes the car shake at speed as if the wheels aren't balanced. anyway, it's all in the tires you use

Those look great Andy! I think they suit the 159 much better than the Brera; a really nice look.

TBH, I think your wheels look better on your 159 than they do on the Brera. They certainly look better than the diamond flats (which look a bit too Germanic) IMHO.

Thanks, certainly from this thread there don't seem to be many with anything much different. But then again it really is an expensive mistake to get it wrong!

The nicest thing was that the last set cost me less brand new off eBay complete with new Michelin Primacy HP tyres, than a pair of tyres only would have cost me
(Easier to clean than the 18" version and loads easier than anything with spokes!)
