Brera 3.2 V6 Q4

Living with the Brera

Thought I would share my ownership experience so far after purchasing a Brera 3.2 Q4 recently.

Where to start? Well, one thing I have noticed is the amount of attention she attracts. There aren't too many of them downunder so as I pleasantly discovered, they make for an unusual sight.

Driving through Sydney's central business district yesterday, I was amazed at how many heads turned. One lady literally had her mouth agape at the traffic lights for a good 30 seconds just trying to work out what the hell I was driving.

Prolonged sideways glances from men, boys and girls ensued on my return trip.

My 156 was a great car. The best no doubt I have owned up to this point. But never did it receive this sort of reaction.

From a driving perspective, she loves the bends. Flying through a tight hairpin was illuminating, my brother puzzled at failing to hear the sound of tyres screaming while negotiating corners at speed.

So far, she's everything I could have hoped for. No rocking seat issues. No fuel tank problems. No squeaking power steering.

Just a beautiful V6 burble and a stunning presence.

Fingers crossed she remains that way.

Re: Living with the Brera

One problem I find with the Brera is that its VERY difficult to pass the Dutchie by the left hand side.

Re: Living with the Brera

It's the same around here! It's the first car I have ever owned that gets people turning their heads to look at it as I go by. Even had one guy virtually hang out of the side window of his car as he went around a roundabout.

Ah yes the Brera effect - I live near a school and am amazed by the amount of MUMS!!! who stop on their way to picking kiddies up to comment on the Brera - most common is ' I just love your car'.

Re: Living with the Brera

Yup. Even women stare at the Brera. It's just such a great feeling!! In England, who's going to stare if you have a BMW/Audi? They are generally good, but unfortunately ubiquitous.

Re: Living with the Brera

Me and Operation Alfa went for a run to a town south of birmingham at the weekend, apparently a couple of lads on bikes were staring and pointing at my car!

It was clean and shiny to boot!

I tend to close the SkyView during summer when I park to avoid a sauna. Fantastic A/C in the Brera so not a problem.

Very happy with her. She ticks all the boxes for me personally.
