Thinking of getting these fitted to the new 159 TI
Comments/advice please people.
The new TI is being delivered in the next week or so (I hope!) and considering my old lester boot spoiler can't be removed from my current 159, I thought I'd go the whole hog and get the lip spoiler, air filter and exhaust added too.
The car will be a red 159 TI saloon, with 19" spoked alloys and 20mm lower sports suspension (no need for me to lower it anymore)
Something like this:-

http://www.autoklub.hr/WebResources/...-1600x1200.jpg
Alfa Romeo 159 Ti*-*Photo*2*of*10*-*Photo galleries | MSN Cars UK
Can Nomes/Nev explain ref the air filter and how the heck you get to it to change The inside of the front wing from the looks of things!
My thoughts as follows:-
Secure UK tuning store Alfa, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia, Maserati
Secure UK tuning store Alfa, Ferrari, Fiat, Lamborghini, Lancia, Maserati
Autodelta Shop
What's the actual difference between these two exhausts:-
Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos - Alfa 159 Novitec Edelstahl Doppel-ESD 115x85 NOVITEC Edelstahl Doppel-ESD 115x85
Alfa Romeo Shop - Tuning, Styling, Fanartikel und Modellautos - Alfa 159 Novitec Edelstahl Doppel-ESD NOVITEC Edelstahl Doppel-ESD 100 39077
Anybody got other suggestions
Am away until Sat afternoon so will pick up this thread then.
Thanks people.

I've asked the same question re. the zorsts (to myself). I'd leave the rest TBH Hunter.

What's the difference between the zorsts and the standard set up?

There was a red Ti Q4 in the showroom yesterday.
Looks the dog's balls. (Except obviously
it was the wrong colour. Better than the white one though!

The zorsts are similar apart from the oval tips on one and the circular on the other.

Will they make a difference in sound/performance on the 2.4Mjet
I can't see why there's such a difference in price either
@Nev - do you know if they had to remove the front wing to get at the filter

Standard service item, so I can't believe they do!
Does it come out the bottom?
Are you serious about that front spoiler??!!!!
Nomes has got a fruiter exhaust on his JTD. Not sure which one but as mentioned the only difference between those two is the shape of the pipes. They are only the back boxes so I can't see them making a great deal of difference and they are a lot of money! I bet combined with your airfilter you'll get oooooo at least 2.5bhp more. I'd save the brass and put it in your front tyre fund!

Hunter, it always seems to cost more for oval pipes - guess it's because they usually look better
When I had my air filter changed (by Angel Tuning) it was on the driver side and they had to unscrew/unbolt some kind of undertray to get at it.
They didn't have to take the wing off. It looked like a bit of a fiddly job to me

Re: Thinking of Getting These Fitted to The New TI (when/if it arrives)
I was also thinking of the oval novitec exhaust, but for 600 euros it's low on my priority list.
and I also wonder if it changes the sound in any way.

I'd like my Ti to sound a bit more fruity but not like a boy racer car. Would the Novitec fit the bill?

I think the ovals look slightly off on the 159; they don't match the shape of the bumper cut-outs.

Oval pipes have had their day, go with round, much cleaner look.
As for the kit? I wouldn't bother if I were you

Have to agree the pipes look good on 159's but they do lack the nice zorst note.

Re: Thinking of Getting These Fitted to The New TI (when/if it arrives)
My car looks the spit of the first linked car.
I would definitely get the lip spoiler if it were possible.
My last car was a SAAB 93 with a factory fitted lip spoiler, and it looked 10 times better than a normal SAAB 93 without the lip spoiler.
At the risk of being hunted down and killed in a most painful way, I think the 159's weak spot is its rear - and think this spoiler would do wonders. Would love to get it done.

The bootlip has a kind of built in spoiler
Would love to hear those Novitec zorsts (rond tip). I'd be very tempted, along with an AD map

More of a hump than a spoiler though - I'm talking from a purely aesthetic POV.

I can't see anything wrong with the styling the way it is to be fair, it needs no embelishment much like the 156 before it.

I agree - the lip spoiler is very discreet but pictures I've seen make the car look much better.
In fact I am about to order the Lester lip spoiler for my car
It's £110 from here http://www.gazzella.cc/cart.php?targ...tegory_id=1325
but £85 from here http://www.conceptbodystyling.co.uk/...=H948&cat=1844
or £92 here http://www.bodykitsuk.com/en/product...t-spoiler.html
Anyone used the second supplier above? The site looks a bit 'amateur' - no phone number, address etc.
Cheers

I think the lower lip could be a nightmare as far as hitting speed bumps and curbs is concerned. You might be happier without it.

Re: Thinking of Getting These Fitted to The New TI (when/if it arrives)
Thanks for your feedback people Always appreciated
Spoke to Paul at Mangos a few hours ago
ARUK will get the Lester boot spoiler as a replacement for the existing Lester jobbie on my current poorly 159 - removing it will cause more hassle than it's worth. It really does look very very nice. Promise.
I like the front splitter very much, but agree that road humps + 20mm lower suspension on the TI might kill it within a week or so of my driving...
Ref the exhausts and the airfilter - Mangos will price up the Autodelta gear for me. I'm also seriously considering the Ragazzon from Alfisti.net oval back boxes.
I'm also getting a price on the Autodelta remap box - warranty covered! YAY!!!
If I can stretch this months spare cash, then I'll blow it on the Autodelta gear.
The Spider is now sold so I have to get my (driving) thrills from somewhere....

Re: Thinking of Getting These Fitted to The New TI (when/if it arrives)
Has anyone on here got a front splitter fitted...
Or the Autodelta power box...
Or a modded exhaust...
Zena at ARUK called to say car will be ready for exchange around middle of August - about 2 weeks time, so not much time to get all this organised...
