Finally! The LE arrived.

Picked it up at 3pm this afternoon We even cut our holiday short to get back and pick it up!

Will post some better pictures tomorrow if its sunny. The only problem so far has been what appears to be over-spray on the front wing. Its going back next week for them to remedy. So much for this PDI centre if they didn't even pick this up. I went over the car very carefully before I signed for it and marked this on the sheet.

Got a free 8C model and very happy with the service from Palmers St Albans.

Re: Finally! The LE arrived.

The spraying was probably rectification work at the pre-PDI centre or dealer PDI. From what I've seen this week, other than getting a bit of a wash, I'm doubtful that PDI's even take place

Thanks guys. Not great weather for top down weather but I still haven't driven it yet with the hood up! He's a few more pics taken after a quick clean.

Re: Finally! The LE arrived.

Beauty & the beast there Rich

Is that a 320d M Sport? We had one as a loner for 6 weeks in between mt 156 being totalled and getting the Ti. Twas an OK car but nothing special (the Ti is a much better package).

Seen my comments regarding the overspray / PDI?

Re: Finally! The LE arrived.

No mate, its a 335D M Sport which has been remapped by DMS. It really is a beast. I've driven a standard 320d and agree they are dull as is the 520d. I've found its only the bigger engined BMW's that have real character.

I did see your comments and wondered myself if this was the handy work of the PDI centre. Any idea how I can find out short of contacting Alfa? Also whilst washing it today I noticed the finish on the wheels is quite rough, they are not as glossy/smooth as I expected. Is that normal? The rest of the bodywork other than the small section on the front wing is perfect.
