I think the black ones look good too but personally i've had a black one so I'd want a different colour.

Re: GTLeigh's New Brera

UPDATE

Well i,ve had my Brera for 9 days now and covered just over 900 miles, here's a quick update so far.

Popped the car back to Mangos to resolve a few niggles, they sorted two whilst I waited (clunky drivers door & passenger window noise) they have ordered a new n/s rear speaker and n/s interior door handle. Whilst these niggles shouldnt have got past PDI at Portbury, they are niggles and dont spoil the enjoyment.

Fuel consumption - its a 3.2 V6 Q4 Qtronic - enough said !!!

The build quality and "feel" of the car is superb, its a real leap in improvement from the GT, dont get me wrong i'm not knocking the GT its just soooo much better, it just feels solid and well engineered.

Appeareance wise it is stunning from every angle, best looking car on the road in its price range! There are only one or two in Leicestershire that i've seen - but it certainly turns heads .

The drive is really surefooted, no scuttle (unlike the GT) it feels like its stuck to the road (probably the weight & gravity ), the engine whilst being the 3.2 V6 (having driven Mrs Squadrone Rosso's last saturday i've a comparison) its a more sedate refined drive, the GT 3.2 is a rocket ship with instant power, the Brera on the other hand is a gradual buildup of speed - but its bl00dy quick once its moving.

Qtronic gearbox, is great, totally different to the Selespeed, in "D" (auto) its much better than the "city" equivilent, much much smoother especially at low speed, kickdown is instant, i guess the only thing is that it seems to stay in gear just a bit too long when changing up perhaps its just me.

Manual mode, with stick + / - or paddles fun, quicker and smoother change than selespeed, it will if pushed change up automatically and like selespeed change down if you cant be bothered too when slowing, i prefer the manual mode and find it more rewarding & more economical than in full auto.

Blue & Me - fantastic !! no issues at all, media player cool, voice activation is great once you've read the manual !! have installed the sms reader but my phones not compatable yet (SE w960i).

New seats say no more.

I've fitted some s/steel kickplates to protect the sills

Also fitted the vent style sat nav holder for my Garmin, pretty happy with it so far and also fitted a Roadpilot camera detector (I had the old version in the GT) and hardwired it to the ciggy lighter

Think thats it so far, in summary i'm a happy chappy
