New Prodrive Brera S (now with multiple reviews)

This sounds interesting - but I wonder what the problem was with the supercharger???

Yes it is

Rather than experiencing technical issues, maybe they thought the benefits gained weren't very good value for money.

Its perplexing as there a few people on here with the Autodelta conversion who seem to rate the Supercharger

I doubt PRodrive will do anything but lightweight wheels and better suspension. Those wheels look MINT

Why not an S THEN take it to Autodelta or a trip over to Novitec

I can't afford to keep the Cup and a punto on the road just now

ProDrive are a UK firm, which might have something to do with it..

I get that but in this day and age, if a car gets developed somewhere, I figure it is worth putting it out into the other big markets as well.

Or perhaps it's another one of those things the Alfa marketing people are going to miss out on

Having that "S" logo on it is like

I think it looks very nice One fella said there that he thought the Brera was going to be discontinued?? Don't think that's right is it??

Alfa Romeo has teamed up with world-leading motorsport specialist, Prodrive, to evolve the handling of the Alfa Brera coupe, specifically for the British market.

Following a year’s intensive suspension development programme, including full sign-off from the engineering department in Italy, the result is a bespoke, British-honed, Alfa Brera S.

According to Prodrive Project Leader, Peter Cambridge, the collaboration has “built on the existing model’s capabilities to deliver outstanding driver feedback and handling.”

Production of the Alfa Brera S will be limited to 500 numbered cars that will include further enhancements to the exterior and interior of the car.

Two existing petrol engines in standard specifications will power the special edition Alfa Brera S from launch next month. Prices and specifications will be revealed at launch on 19 May 2008.

So looks like the new GTA probably won't be a Brera.

i was reading about this the other day, there were going to give it more horses but basically couldnt be arsed so they are tweaking the handling instead
