Re: New Prodrive Brera S
Thing to think about is that this tax is only going to be accelerated up higher as the years go on, might only be £455 in 2011 but do you think the government are only going to give it a £5 hike per year going forward, no, its likely to raise exponentially until we are all forced into buying cars emitting less than 100 Co2s,
you can see it already 09/10 to 10/11 there is
0 increase for cars 100-130
130-180 £5 increase
180-225 £10 increase
225-255 £15 increase
255+ £30 increase
those increments will only get higher as the 'pollluters' are taxed off the road, arseholes.
so i'd say it was a concern as a buyer especially when most of the competition perform better in this regard too.

Re: New Prodrive Brera S
It's built at the Portbury Docks pre-PDI place in Bristol (you know, the one they had to introduce to try and rectify the build quality issues that come out of the Pomigliano d'Arco factory):

Re: New Prodrive Brera S
Most manufacturers are done at the docks, not due to faults but they way they are shipped.

Maybe that will become a necessity? Fishermen are often against quotas - but without them the fish-stocks would be fished into extinction - then where would the fishermen be?
Although I enjoy driving my gas-guzzler today, I am prepared to accept that there may come a time when that may no longer be possible, due to environmental concerns.

Re: New Prodrive Brera S
From those photos I still say that's a pre 2008 model Brera.
(Check the sills.)
They must have ~500 RHD Breras they need to shift.

Nev, for fear of repeating myself again, these are definately 2008 model cars, some of them haven't even been built yet, the Model Year changed in Feb production and all these cars are built since. They have the electronic Q2, the new seats, new headlining, fascia etc. They also have not got the Skyview which was standard on a UK 2.2JTS on an 07 model year
I can 100% promise you that these are not the 07 cars!

They just don't look the the 2008s I've seen.
e.g. :

Also without Skyview, does that mean they have
the old metal roofs again? (Which would make
a lot of sense, especially for the overall colour.)

Ah, leftover '06 cars, then?
Seriously, given that they're '08 cars is the quoted weight loss comparing them to the 'normal' '08 cars or to the launch cars?
That is, is an '08 Brera S 2.2 lighter than any other '08 Brera 2.2, or is it just ligher than an '06 Brera 2.2? My money is on the latter, and some lazy journalism. Not a complaint or a criticism either way, just interested to know.
