Was that in Mangos?

Yeah I saw the brera s last week and could not believe that whilst having a skyview roof, prodrive remove the electric blind and put in a full headcloth! The salesman told me that this was a weight saving measure. Surely you would save more weight if you just removed the electric gubbings and blind and had the skyview as a permanent feature?

Re: New Prodrive Brera S (now with multiple reviews)

I don't think they don't remove the gubbins, the non-SV UK Brera has always had the glass lid.

I think that the European non-SV Breras have had a steel roof from day 1 though.

To be honest, I have always wanted to see a Brera with a metal roof. I think it might look even better ()in ALfa Red, naturally).

It did.

If they still did steel roofs and had an old fashioned
tilt 'n' slide(out) sunroof I'd consider a red one too.

So why does the 'S' still have a glass roof, but headlining covering it? A steel roof would have been better for their weight reduction/chassis stiffening measures..

...because Alfa aren't making them that way at the moment. Presumably.

Feel the same, would far rather have a sunroof anyday. The Skyview never did anything for me when I had the Brera.

How could I (almost) let this one slip without a little comment?

I like the sky view - I considered red or black, black was the better car so I went for it but had taken on board Nev's comments on two tone!

Dude you know my major hang-up is the two tone effect of SV.
A solid red metal tilt/slide (one that slides outside of the car)
would be great IMHO.

TBH SV is a bit of a broiler in the summer here.
Although I do love it especially at sunset.

I'm doing initial planning for a change of car in Jan
and a 159 1.8 Turbo may make the list due to the
opening sunroof........

also known as "every other car is red". I have been observing that one since 1993.

Anyway - what's wrong with two-tone:-
