Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

Maybe I'm missing something, but no-one seems to have posted with their new 08 159 yet.

Mine's on order (since December) and though my dealer here in Australia promised "maybe in 2 weeks", considering I haven't heard of anyone in Europe getting theirs yet, and again - AUSTRALIA - I think it's going to be a while!

So while I wait, was hoping people might post on their 08 159 pickup experiences when they happen...

Hope to have mine in two weeks, spoke to the dealer during the week and he said he was to have a chassis number by Thursday. And that usually the car arrives a week later...

ordered mine around the last week of Jan..I'm not far off 60K Miles on my current Bella...

A black 16V JTDm Sportivo with black leather is on its way to me hopefully..

Dont... I'm approx 12 weeks away!!!

My Ti is supposed to be built next week, so it's about 5 or 6 weeks away

Dont have a definate date yet but around 2-3 weeks at least for my black lusso with red leather

according to the dealer, mine has supposedly arrived in the country and is being PDI'd somewhere near the port.
So he says it could be here this week.
Mind you he said it would be here last week so who knows ?

Our first new model will be with us in about 3 weeks, our first 08 Brera and Spider by the end of this coming week

David, when was your first model ordered? and what's the estimated build/delivery time from order?

I did the rounds of the Alfa dealers in Sydney in an attempt to sort out what/when/why/how much etc during Feb and early March. Covered quite a few kilometres and spoke to several reps. You aren't specific about what you've ordered but if it's the Ti, as far as I can see, there is a consensus that about the end of September is the go. And not before!

I was tossing up between ordering a Ti for later in the year and buying a 2.4 JTDm manual - looked at this site and read all I could about performance and economy and decided on the latter - and I saw what I wanted in a showroom a few weeks ago, right colour, right wheels, right configuration, right price. A good deal. Snap!

I hope it doesn't keep you awake at night. I know it can - I've bought houses with less deliberation.

Both ordered on the 8th Feb, usually expect 12 weeks from order to be on the safe side, why do you ask?

Just interested in any delays from a different dealers perspective based on the earlier factory closure.

The factory closure didn't really affect the Brera/Spider as they are built in a different factory. There was a small delay due to the change from 07 to 08 Model Year but only 1-2 weeks

Hi, I ordered a 2.4 JTDM from Gulson motors in Canberra, back in February. That car arrives in Australia on 22 May, and will get out of bond a couple of weeks later, according to the dealer. Working backwards from that, I have to assume that it is a pre-factory closure model. I asked the dealer about a different trim, and he said I would have to wait till August (which I couldn't). So my guess is that models built after the factory closure will start arriving in Australia in August.

I was originally told May-June, so maybe you're getting the new model. If not, looks like I may have a long wait. Really hard to get a stright answer. Not sure if it's inexperienced sales guy, extreme lack of info from the importers or both.

I ordered my Ti (2.4 JTDM) in January,, and have recently been advised by the dealer that it will be built in the last week of April. Apparently even if it ships immediately, it will probably be the end of June before it gets to NZ.

Sorry, mate, no - I didn't need the answer to that question so I didn't ask it. If you can be bothered, ring Rick Damelian ALFA on Sydney (02)95601000 - it's a very big dealership and not just ALFAs. If they don't know, no-one in Sydney will. Their site's worth a squizz, as well:-

So those anyone actually have a definitive list of the changes the new model will have over the old 159 2.4Jtdm Ti Model ???

I saw an internal document stating mine was built on March 17. I hope to receive it this week (Belgium).

Just came from the dealer. My car has arrived in Antwerp Harbour. It'll probably be at the dealers this week.

Mine is getting built this week and should be early/ mid may. going by the posts on here, with everyone ordering black Alfas. I hope they don't run out of paint for my one
