Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
still not got mine , more BS exscuses form AR customer services.
Getting a bit tired of it all now . If they can,t deliver till June why don't they tell you that in March when you order, instead of saying they can get one in 2 to 3 weeks.
I've a good mind to tell em to shove it , if ever arives !

I was told in January that mine would arrive 30th May. They beat that by a week and could have been quicker if Tracker hadn't messed it up.
Sounds like an overpromise by a salesman.

Very close to cancelling mine now. The dealer has done nothing but lie to me. I have contacted Alfa in Italy who have been helpful but the dealer is still saying at least 2-3 weeks until I get the car, which I placed the order for in Feb.
Not good at all

Sounds odd, I ordered mine from a leasing company on the 19 March, I had a call two weeks telling me it was in the UK and awaiting delivery.
I have to have it stored, as my current lease has to run to August. Have your dealers told you what the problem is ?

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
The dealer has said it is in the stage of being PDi checked.
This has been going on for 4 weeks!!
Alfa have said the dealer did not order the car when we placed the order, they waited for over 3 weeks to order the car. Which has pushed the panic button with my director.
Then everytime we chase them we get a different story.
I am beginning to wonder if the car actually exsists.

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
I've just collected a loan car whilst I wait for mine to be delivered. Whitequay Alfa in Reading have loaned me a 159 2.4JTDm Lusso Sportwagon, so that's not bad Not as good as my Ti will be though

Mine is on order from Thames in Tonbridge Wells, all they have given me is a punto the colour of a baked bean
They were supposed to be swapping for an Alfa today but did not ring and have not returned my call either.
Really getting off with all this now

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
Mine's here ! well nearly.
It's at the dealers and I'm supposed to be picking it up tommorow, if nothing else goes wrong.
I most say that the whole waiting process and the false delivery promises have kind of ruined the feel good factor of picking up the new car.
I even had to go through the whole anoying process of arrangiing the 7 day drive away insurance again ( so they could tax it ) as the last one had expired , and half way through that the guy found out it was an Alfa and said they only do Fiat !
So back on to the dealer who said to ring the same number again , this time I got a different guy who arranged it OK. well, after the 50 bloody questions again.
From what I can make out reading between the BS lines , AR either have a problem with the PDI and delivery process or they are finding a lot of faults during PDI which take time to sort .

I understand that they are getting the PDi done externaly as Alfa Italy dont trust that all dealers will sort everything out pre delivery. There is a big back log at the PDi stage.
This is what we were told yesterday by the sales manager anyway.

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
Finally picked up my new ti tonight
the bad parts : No visibilty pack, no mats and only 1/4 tank of fuel
The Good parts : It drives really well, I'm dead impressed . It seems better than the old model demonstrator I tried, very smooth , fast, queiter when cruising than the Q4 and the Q2 system seems to work really well. Even in the wet it pulls out of tight corners with no scrabbling or torque steer.
AR customer services offered me 2 free services for my inconvenience.

Simz105 - the dealer gave me a number to ring to arrange the 7 day cover , which seems to be managed by Fiat

From my experience with the car they've loaned me, the visibility pack is not worth having. The auto wipers seem to be completely random, and the auto lights a little indecisive. Glad I didn't spec it tbh!
Congrats on the free servicing and finally getting your car
What about some piccies?

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?
I can take some pics but it just looks like all the other 159 ti's
It was the auto dipping mirror function I wanted mostly from the vis pack.
I'm going to ask the dealer GM tommorow for a retro fit or money back

Congrat Johnny! what is the color of exterior and interior? I am so disappointed that my dealer only import Ti without Blue & Me. It is a standard device, can they do that?

I agree, the auto dipping mirror would be nice, but as it had to be part of the vis pack I would rather go without I like intermittent wipe, not random wipe
AO tradition is to take some pics of your new car and post them, but if you don't want to that's fine

As an aside, I just noticed you have Continental boots on it. I didn't realise they did that size. Perhaps they're cheaper than the Bridgestones or Pirellis. Do they stick well?
