I only work in Reading, and I don't think security will let you in hmm Still, if you're keen to make me jealous just drive up and down Basingstoke Road outside the Gillette site I'd wave from my lab, but it only has a view over the industrial areas and the back end of Kennet Island

Thanks Fraser, that makes sense now. Here's to hoping there are no hold-ups

You may get yours first yet. Rang the dealer this afternoon. Still haven't even booked for Tracker to do their thing!

They've spent over a week arguing with the leasing company as to who should arrange for it to be done.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

Sounds like I won't be seeing mine until June according to the dealer. Apparently it is in the PDI queue now, and I might get a number plate tomorrow Irritating, it seems that it takes a lot longer than a couple of weeks from landing in the country to delivery

Mine has arrived at the dealers just now and I will be picking her up tomorrow. I just sat in her and had a walk round her and may I say it's a better looking car than I imagined

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

Many congrats Highland. Now where are those pics??!?!?!

Mine is still stuck at the dealers. Tracker are the ones holding it all up. They still haven't sent the unit to the dealer. The dealer can't book the Tracker fitter until the Tracker unit arrives. The lease company and insurance company won't allow the dealer to release the car to me until the Tracker is fitted. Everybody is waiting for everyone else.

If only there was a way of telling where the delivery van is - some sort of tracking device perhaps...

I want my Blackmobile!!!!

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

Well, I've gone and cancelled my 159 2.4SW 'ti' order!! I couldn't wait - 27 weeks with no delivery date in sight! That said, I have replaced it with a Stromboli Grey Lusso with 18"'s(7x horseshoe), headlamp wash, fnt & rear sensors, Bose sound system, the Alum. roof rails, Utility Pack, Tri-Zone Climate, Zenon lights, Heated fnt wndscreen and a 10 stack cd. I've ordered the boot liner, sports alum. pedals with footrest and fnt & rear mud flaps.
Thinking of tinting the rear windows.
I've had the car for 6 days now and loving it. What a head turner! People are amazed at it's styling! The fuel consumption is slowly increasing, the more miles I add on. One happy customer...at long bloody last!
Alessandro.

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

heh Micky, why are you paying now ?
Surely payment should be on collection of the vehicle , not when it comes into uk ?

Mine's supposedly been in the uk for between either 6 or 2 weeks depending on which story I choose to believe.

I've now been told it "should" be available for collection from the dealer on Friday but I won't be paying untill I see it all ready to drive away !

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

it takes about two weeks for the cheque to clear and iam away working for three weeks so when i come back i can pick the car up.
its my choice not the dealer
better than waiting 5 weeks

Re: Anyone got their MY08 159 yet?

Latest update on mine (if anyone cares!) is that Tracker still have my personal plates on their system from a CLK I sold 3 years ago with a Tracker on it. Presumably the new owner never bothered to subscribe to their service, so they haven't taken my details off their system.

However, they won't reallocate my plate to the new car unless we can give them the current registration of the CLK!! Of course, as I never had the car with its "proper" reg, I have no idea what that was!

You'd think they'd be keen to sell a new device and subscription, instead of risking losing the business.

My advice: DON'T use Tracker. There are plenty of other companies out there doing the same thing. You'd think they'd be keen to sell a new device and subscription.
