Got my 159 2.4 Lusso today

) It looks fantastic and goes like the proverbial! No real issues to note and Dean @ Guest in Knowle has been great from beginning to end. I'll get some pics posted in the next day or two

I've just picked up my 159 SW 1.9 , its absolutley fantastic, it easing the pain of my poorly spider, however they've loaned me a c-class Merc.

I keep falling asleep at the wheel

Interestingly the delivery driver gave me a list of emergency numbers as "it's a Merc. it will break down.

Also WRT fuel consumption, even though it has a low CO2 of 168, the computer says its averaged 27.3 mpg over 5400 miles, compared to 213 and 30 for a 2.2 159?

Confirmed arrangements today for my 1.9 JTDm Lusso QTronic to be delivered p.m. Monday...I can't believe I am actually going to get my hands on it after all this time! (Order placed in November) will get some pics up as soon as I stop playing with it.

She's here...and looking quite beautiful

although very wet.

I haven't even had a good check over her yet the rain has not let up all day.

Inside looks fine, light cluster above rearview mirror was just hanging loose snapped back in though so no problem. Glad I went for the Ti mirror covers they real finish it off, think I would have always been wound up by the black plastic covers so good decision.

Happy with the multispoke wheels

better than the flat diamonds 'IMO'

She is realy messy at the moment with the rain etc. will get her cleaned up and post some pics when the rain stops.

God haven't even been for a drive yet, to busy working, should be able to get out in an hour or so.

Was supposed to have mine 4 weeks ago, then 3, then 2, then this week, now I'm being told that a date can't be guaranteed!!

Stay with it, don't dispair it is well worth it in the end

I ordered mine in October 07 got caught by the factory closing and ended up with a MY08 car which in the end was a real result

delivered last week.

With these long waits you have wonder if Alfa Romeo have a clue what they're doing. The factory is even going on short time working from the end of the month.....

It's a shame cos Alfa could really compete with the Germans if they got their act together.

At least it keeps the cars more exclusive though

It's my first ever Alfa and I feel so proud to own one, strange but nice feeling...It is a company car and likely to be the only one I will ever care for, the others, all very nice by the way, were just tools for the job. This is somehow very different

Welcome to the club. I know exactly what you mean about the company car thing. This is my first company car for about 6 years but I treat it like it was my own precious baby!

PS Isn't the Q-tronic fantastic. I had 4 Mercs before this and they are famed for the smoothness of their autos, but this is even smoother IMO.

Q-tronic is very smooth, have you tried a third gear power on yet? I did it the other day to get around a lorry up hill with a slight left hand bend.

It is brilliant the car just powered on no jerky kickdown or sudden pick-up it just smoothly powered forward at a very impresive pace,

you don't notice any up or down changes it really is a very good piece of engineering.
