White Speedlines on my white 155?

Ciao 155isti,

I might have a go at a set of white 16" 5-spoke speedlines... but they're white. White on white, does that add up at all?

Cheers,

Pierre

Re: White Speedlines on my white 155?

Many years ago I had white Ti wheels on my Sud super, and the Lancia delta integrale works rally cars had white alloys, so yes, go for it..

Some very fine emery paper, a bit of TLC and some graphite/gunmetal wheel paint and lacquer will solve that.

Re: White Speedlines on my white 155?

I've got the white 5 spoke speedlines on my green 155, it looks a bit boy racer'ish. I'm thinking about getting them done in a differant colour. Can you get them cemical stripped and powder coated? Or is ralfs way better? Sounds like a lot of hard work.

Re: White Speedlines on my white 155?

Obviously you can spend as much on them as you want.. from a full chemical strip, re-build of any damaged/scuffed areas and then a full re-spray in 2-pack with lacquer... to a quick whizz over with a sanding disc followed by DIY paint job.

You don't have to sand all the paint off.. you only have to flatten it to remove minor blemishes and give the new paint something to cling to. Make sure the new paint doesn't react with what's on there at the moment.

Do them graphite (with a shiny lacquer top-coat).

I have white Speedlines on red 155, looks superb, but white on white.. put them on, make some photos, post them here and we will tell you how it looks

white wheels make cars look sporty, but you have to clean them every time after hard braking, especially with sport pads. otherwise they get gray very fast

I think white on white will look good. Just like Black cars with Black wheels. Go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

Re: White Speedlines on my white 155?

You have little steely wheels with plastic covers on them. Gunmetal alloys will show them Your'e a Dude!

Well I was outbid. I think I'm going to look into possibly 156 rims on the 155, there is more choice there...

156 rims doesn't fit 155. you need 4 bolts and 98mm between them
