right, finally got around to fitting the whiteline arb's last week and have just had a fantastic weekend driving in the lake district, done about 600 miles,
fitting the bars was pretty straight forward but not easy, you have to drop the tank and take the exhaust off to do the back and the front needs the front sub frame removing from the car, probably 6-7 hours of work and I'm pretty handy with the old spanners, this is not an entry level diy job, I would place it as for the well experienced/professional mech only....
anyway, the car has been transformed, the amount of grip now generated is just awesome, steering feel is superb, the car really does feel like it's on rails and the ride quality has not been adversely effected, I would say on my car it's actually better, less fidgety.
so the complete set-up on mine is 16" wheels with 195/45 uniroyal rainsports all round, G&M springs, standard shocks and whiteline heavy duty (not the extra's) ARB's, the rest of the suspension is all well sorted to with new strut top mounts, bottom arms, tre's and drop links with the rear trailing arm bearings having been done in the last year as well.
bottom line, these things are great
