Compatible brake callipers for a widebody ???
I have a widebody ('97) 1.8 16V 155.
The background. I was changing the brakes, and everything went fine. Except for one thing that was completely and utterly my fault. When doing the passenger side, you know the bolt on the top that you loosen to get the calliper off the disk so you can dislodge the pads, well I twisted it the wrong way - I twisted it down on my left (it's right) which is clockwise, which tightened it and ultimately sheered the top off.
Now at the moment there is enough of the bolt remaining in the nut to allow me to brake, but I would like to get another nut (it's the one with the rubber sleeve attached to it) so that I can replace the bolt and fix the calliper properly.
As 155's in Ireland are akin to rocking horse ****, are there any other cars that have the same calliper. I don't need a whole calliper, just that nut with the rubber sleeve attached.
I have searched this forum and I have seen that the narrow-body shares components with older cars but there is mention that widebody's have a different calliper.
Please help !!
