Re: Oil pressure guage 155 2.0 '93
Hi ppl, it's been almost four weeks of fun with the Alfa, and a couple of busted knuckles. But I'm starting to figure the machine out. :-) There are some items that I can't seem to get the hang of tho. But first, a quick question: Is there a (halfway) decent workshop manual available for the 155? 'Cos the one I received is next to worthless.
Anyway, a couple of questions:
Is there a check I can do to see if my oil pressure sender is gone?
Does the fault list check work on an 93 8v 2.0 TS? I can't get anything with the described procedure.
Pressing the boot lid release button results in a relais clicking in my dashboard (behind the main fuse box) but the lid refusing to release. Anybody any ideas on the relais I need or what the check values are? This particular fuse box was not mentioned at all in the manual, actually the lid release is not mentioned at all.
My indicator stalk sometimes refuses to move right (to indicate right). I've had it out and cleaned all contacts, checked for blockages, yet the problem persists. A quick move left and then back to the right is my workaround at the moment, but if someone could point me in the right direction....?
Anybody else have a "dead zone" on the passenger windshield wiper? Mine refuses to wipe a zone about 15cm wide by 20 cm tall. It looks as if the wiper blade doesn't get pushed onto the windshield, but no matter what I try I can't get it to work properly. Someone mentioned that Volvo 440 wipers are interchangeable and work better than original. Anybody have any experience with this?
The handbrake light is almost always on, if I go over a speedbump it will temporarily go off. I've checked the sensor at the handbrake lever, but that seems to be fine. The problem remains even if I disconnect the sensor... As the manual doesn't even mention anything regarding the handbrake I don't know if there is another sensor or something that needs checking/cleaning/replacing?
And lastly, at the moment I'm mounting a tow bar on my 155. According to the instructions that came with the package there should be a plug for the trailer lights somewhere in the car. But no mention of where I should start searching. I haven't been able to find anything in the boot anyway. Any other ideas before I start stripping the interior/dashboard looking for a plug that may or may not exist?
Sorry for the long post but figured I wouldn't fill the forum with dozens of threads containing one question when bundeling them in one (should) do...
Thanks for your help!
