Re: Electric sunroof
Everyone bins the Webasto relay when they take the motor out!
I tired a second-hand motor in mine (£5 off eBay) to see if it was the motor that was knacked. It came without a relay but usng my relay in the new motor didn't work.
I'd already eliminated the wiring as the problem and I'd also bought a new switch (£20!) so there was only the Webasto relay to try. That lad was £30-odd so I'd left it till last.
Mine had the endearing side-effect that the sunroof would only operate when the outside temerature was above 28C. It would go up but if you let the car cool down (park it in the shade with the roof open) then it would not close again.
Since I put the new relay in, it's been excellent - even with my old roof motor.
