Actually we don't get the1.8 yet. But in a short time we will (hopefully)
My car is prepared in Turkey by an experienced Alfa and Fiat competition team mechanic. According to his experiences we may not need to change pistons but I want to change. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge in car. Fuel ratio is calibrated by him after many tries.
We use Walbro fuel pump (can feed up to 500 hp in charged engines).
My car has a standart body (I don't have even a Q4 amblem) and a standart inside equipment.(Just for now)
Everything is under the hood. A K&N filter, ECU tune (prepared by the service!), An exhaust system( custom made 76 mm), T4 Garett, Eibach springs, Koni adjustables.
We have just one 4 WD dyno here and it is not calibrated well I believe. A standart Audi RS4 gave 350 hp and an M3 is 256 as well. My car gave 220 hp once and 218 after. So I do not trust the result. They now bought a new dyno and we are waiting for it.
On the other hand I ran with Subaru Impreza WRX (2001), M3(321 hp).
On rolling from 30 to 180 km I beat Subaru hardly. (20 meters back from my car). With M3 we ran from 2. gear up to top to the end. I passed him about 10 meters but on top speed he ate me. (My car can go up to 260).
Now I am looking for a new intercooler, pistons (other equipments) and wheels. (I have 15" and 205/50/15).
It seems in Turkey my Q4 is the fastest Alfa here.(I have 2 frineds one have another modified Q4 and other one has a modified GTV turbo) and they can not still catch me.
