Engine can only run with the Idle "controller" unplugged???
Hi everybody and thank you for contributing to this forum. It is just amazing what a load of info it contains!
Well my lovely 155's (2.0 16V) problem is that the engine stops when idling and it is hard to get started.
In some previous thread I read about unplugging the Idle "controller" (I cannot recall the right english term) which keeps the revs around 1500 when idling. It works, but what is the consequence of this unplugging and what is actually causing my problem??
Is it the idle "controller" that is faulty?
I have already checked the fuses in the engine bay.
Does anybody have a clue?
It does not seem to change whether the engine is warm or not?
